Research Overview

In the past 20 years, the integration of computer technology has dramatically changed manufacturing. In the next 20 years, we will witness an equally dramatic transformation in the medical world, thanks to computer-integrated surgery.

The research work conducted by the CISST ERC is designed to meet the emerging demand for computer-integrated surgical (CIS) systems and technologies. By overcoming the limitations of traditional surgery, CIS systems will improve clinical outcomes while greatly reducing costs and increasing the efficiency of health care delivery.
