First trial w/ MR Robot in Scanner 3T Phillips Scanner in Neuroradiology(MODEL NAME??) Wed. Dec. 13, 6:30-9pm With: Kahled, Harsh, Iulian, Greg


Series 1 Bad survey

Series 2 Survey of phantoms only Two phantom used aligned along axis of scanner Square (clear) phantom: Slygard 527AB Gel Round (blue) pahntom: Slygard 574 Gel (with more interleaving)

Series 3 Images of phantoms only Fast spin echo imaging Used surface body coils

Series 4 Robot placed in bore inferior to phantoms by couple inches Not connected to anything

[surf coil] [head] (round phantom) (isocenter) (square phantom) (robot) [foot] [surf coil]

(No noticeable distortion)

Series 5 Controller placed in room with robot and phantoms Controller is powered up, but not connected to robot (grainy image)

Series 6 Same as 5 except power supply unplugged from controller (Controller off) Power supply still plugged into wall (some noise)

Series 7 Same as 6 except power supply unplugged and removed from room (No noticeable distortion)

Series 8 Aluminum shielding added to power supply. Extra shielding added to controller enclosure. Controller on, not connected to robot

Series 9 Robot connected to controller Robot not moving (lots of noise)

Series 10 & 11 Robot moving during imaging Same cycle run twice

Series 12 Robot connected to controller Controller unplugged w/ no power supply in room (No noticeable distortion)

Series 13 & 14 Controller moved outside scanner room Encoder cable passed through wave guide Robot connected to controller, controller powered up outside scanner room (Very bad noise from encoder cable)

Series 15 Same as 14 & 14 except encoder cable disconnected and left fully inside room connected to robot on one end. (No noticeable distortion)

Series 16 Power supply plugged in room, not connected to anything else Unconnected robot still in scanner (some noise)

Series 17 New survey image Phantoms placed on top of robot Only robot & phantoms, not controller or power supply

Series 18 Same as 17 To test Brass rods, Aluminum rails, and Brass shaft Airpel cylinder (No noticeable distortion)

Series 19 Same as 18 except Aluminum shaft Airpel cylinder placed on top of round phantom (No noticeable distortion)

Series 20 Same as 18 & 19 but different images taken to examine artifact caused by graphite piston (No noticeable distortion, except very near to graphite)

Series 21 Not downloaded with the others – NEED TO GET THESE IMAGES Clippard brass cylinder w/ stainless steel shaft placed on phantom (Very significant distortion)
