Bobby Hemingway
Since his
first life threatening informal introduction to electricity at the age of
twelve, when he decided to apply power from an outlet to a 12Vdc motor and
was electrocuted, his quest for this perceived phenomena energized his
zeal. In exposure to this mystifying sensation at first hand
(literally), it was only appropriate to delve deeper into the intricacies
of power. Thus, our guest speaker has decided to pursue his undergrad, and
now his master?s degree in Electrical Engineering at North Carolina
Agricultural and State University , in Greensboro , where he is performing
research in arena of digital control of high frequency switch mode
applications, under Dr. Homiafar. He is a colorful individual who has
blossomed from the enrichments of participating in the Louis Stokes
Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) and his ongoing work with the
Center for Power Electronics (CPES). Therefore without hesitation, allow
me presented to you, Bobby Hemingway, who will share with you advice on
how to optimize your fellowship opportunities and experiences.
