Announcements and Updates

Feb 7th: Send a email to Xiaohui containing the following information before Thursday Feb 14th:
1. List of project member names.
2. Name of project mentor.
3. Project title.
4. Project status.
Feb 11th: Schedule for project plan presentation.
Feb 13th: Projects description page updated. Ed Addison is looking for a person to join his project on 3-D pain imaging.
Feb 21th: No class on Feb 22th, Friday. Schedule for project plan presentation updated. Send a web link for your project to Xiaohui by next
next Thursday. Submit your proposal with your project notebook to Dr. Taylor's secretary Megan by next Monday.
March 1st: Schedule updated, if your group has not been scheduled for a paper seminar, send your preferred date to Xiaohui by next Thursday (March 7th), the schedule will be filled up according to the order your preferences are received. You can also start to sign up for the checkpoint presentation now.
March 11th: Please send me your weekly schedule by this Wednesday (March 13th) so that I can make plans for the makeup session, also send me the powerpoint files for the presentations you already made to me so that I can put them on the website, or you can send me the link if you have them on your project websites.
March 25th: Please send me your preferred date for checkpoint presentation of your group by this Thursday if you haven't already done that, you can check out the available slots here: Schedule , for those who didn't send me your weekly schedule, please do that immediately.
April 22th: Several updates to the original schedule:
1. There will be no in-class final presentation, instead we will have a poster session in the reading period, the time is Monday, May 6th, 9am-1pm. The place will be Shaffer 100.
2. Before the poster session, the class will meet once a week, each group will report their project progress and plan for next week. Next class will be on Thursday, April 25th, each group please send me one powerpoint slide before Thursday so I can have them ready for the class.
3. There will be no class on Friday, April 26th.
May 1st: Poster session announcements:
1. The time is May 6th 9am-1pm, The place is Shaffer 100.
2. The size of the poster boards available is 30 X 40 inches , several of them are a little smaller, the width of printing paper is 36inches, so you should setup your powerpoint page size accordingly. Each group can have maximally 3 posters.
3. I will be available from 2pm-4pm on Saturday(4th) and Sunday(5th), if you want to print your posters using the large printer in ERC. You can find me in either NEB B21 or B26. We have 11 groups, so don't wait till the last minute. If you can't make these two time slots, let me know.
4. Each group please send me one slide of your progress for tomorrow's class.
May 14th: Final submission announcements:
The deadline for the final report submission is Thursday 5/16, you should submit it to your folder in Megan's office(NEB 315), the office will close around 5pm. Also your folder should already have the following items:
1)Project proposal
2)Paper presented by each memember and the critical summary
3)All the presentations you made(including poster)
4)Source code
5)electronic media such as an cdrom containing all the files above.
